There is No Overnight Cure!

Please remember that warts have taken months to form and moles could have formed at birth. They will not disappear overnight, no matter what method of removal you choose. But persistence will prevail and your skin will become clear. Also remember that not all treatments work for all people and even if the blemish disappears, it doesn't mean that the treatment made it work, but it probably helped cause the mole or wart to leave faster.

Dermatologist Mole Removal

The two main reasons for have a mole removed are either for health concerns or for cosmetic reasons. Most moles are quite harmless, however, if any changes occur to the mole such as a change of color or an increase in size, get it checked out. Your dermatologist may opt to remove the offending mole with an excision or cutting and then stitching the area up.

When a mole is of a darker color or when it is flat or both dark and flat, the surgeon may choose to cut it out because of the possibility of cancerous cells either in the mole or in the surrounding area.  He will map out the mole before he sterilizes it and uses a numbing agent to "freeze" the area. While using a scalpel, the surgeon then cuts the mole and the area that borders the mole, removing what he considers necessary.

If he considers the possibility of the presence pre-cancerous or cancerous cells then he will adjust the measurements of the cuts to the necessary size. He will then stitch the area after the mole has been removed
The type of stitches the doctor uses will depend on the depth of the cut.

For a deeper cut, your physician will use a type of stitch that your body can easily absorb. They will not have to be removed at a later date.

For a shallower cut, the surgeon will use a surface stitch on the outer layers of skin. These will not be absorbing stitches. It will be necessary to return to the medical facilities to have the physically removed.

Whether absorbing stitches or regular stitches are used, it will be necessary to apply a layer of antibiotic cream as well as a clean bandage to the wound. To do this, clean the wound thoroughly before layering the salve on.

This should be done at least once a day. Ideally, if you could clean and use the antibiotic cream twice a day, it would be best. You see, it is easy to clean the wound. Just use an amount of clean water to rinse the wound. A diluted solution of water and hydrogen peroxide will have an added protection against infection setting in. Keep the wound clean by these daily treatments until it has healed completely.

Five Natural Mole Removers – Part 1

A skin mole is an abnormal collection of pigment cells present within the skin known as melanocytes. They are extremely common. Most people are born with a few moles and develop others during their lives. Many moles appear during the first 20 years of life, although they may continue to develop into middle age. However, the majority disappear with age.
The main worry with moles is that a small number may go on to develop a condition called malignant melanoma. This is a form of skin cancer, which can be fatal, is best spotted early and treated by medical procedure.

The medical treatment for moles is to surgically remove them but this may result in the reason for getting rid of the offending mole in the first place – scarring. If an undesired mole is on the face and its reason for removal is cosmetic, than an ugly scar left as a result is no better than the mole itself.

In the past, different home remedies have been followed to remove moles and have worked in many cases. These ingredients are found in most home cupboards, grocery stores, health food stores, or pharmacies.
  1.           Make a poultice of cumin seeds, ground up. Apply this poultice on the mole, and tie it in place with the help of a bandage. This is very good for the moles that are bleeding as it will help cauterize the small arteries. If there is a burning it will stop. Even the most obstinate of moles can be removed by a cumin seed poultice used regularly for a few weeks.
  2.          Take a single clove of garlic and cut it in half. Then place the inside portion of the garlic slice in contact with the mole and bandage it overnight. The sulfur-rich juices of the garlic will work on the mole. Within a few days the mole will be gone. If you can place the garlic piece on the mole for the whole 24 hours, then the treatment will be much faster.
  3.         Potatoes are very good for removing moles. Just slice a potato and place it on the mole. Do this several nights and the mole will begin to disappear. I must admit, raw potatoes is my favorite as I use them for healing just about everything.
  4.    .     A good Echinacea herbal tea can help in the removal of moles. Prepare the tea in the normal way, but add extra portions of purple cone flower, burdock root or the red clover. This will also help in the prevention of moles.
  5.          A very simple remedy for removing moles, using apple cider vinegar. First wash your mole with warm water for fifteen to twenty minutes. The skin around the mole needs to be as supple as possible. Once that is done, take some of the apple cider vinegar absorbed on a cotton ball and leave it on for a period of ten to fifteen minutes. Then wash it off with clean water and dry the area completely. Repeat four times a day. You will find definite improvement in the removal of the mole.
